Le projet Polèmes est une extension de la série Mémoires involontaires, où chaque Polaroid devient le point de départ d’un poème. Le nom combine « Polaroid » et « poème », suggérant une fertilisation de l’imaginaire entre image et écriture.

Le poète Guillaume Decourt est invité à choisir un Polaroid et à créer un texte de forme libre, limité à 500 caractères, inspiré par l’objet photographié.

L’approche refuse toute légende ou titre, afin de ne pas restreindre l’interprétation et de laisser la liberté au lecteur de projeter son imagination et sa mémoire sur l’image. Les textes peuvent être des calembours, polysémiques ou en « Vers libres », et sont parfois transformés en calligrammes qui reflètent visuellement l’objet. L’objectif est de créer une œuvre ouverte et interactive, où l’émotion et l’imagination du spectateur participent à la réalisation poétique.

En essence, Polèmes est un dialogue créatif entre photographie et poésie, centré sur l’interprétation personnelle et la co-création artistique.

Polèmes is an extension of the series Involuntary Memories, in which each Polaroid becomes the starting point for a poem. The name merges “Polaroid” and “poem,” evoking a fertile exchange between image and text.

Poet Guillaume Decourt is invited to select a Polaroid and create a free-form piece of writing—up to 500 characters—drawn from the subject of the photograph.

The project avoids captions or titles so as not to constrain interpretation, giving viewers the freedom to project their own imagination and memories onto the image. The texts may take the form of puns, layered wordplay, or free verse, and are sometimes transformed into calligrams that visually echo the depicted object. The intention is to create an open, interactive work in which the viewer’s emotion and imagination become part of the poetic process.

In essence, Polèmes is a creative dialogue between photography and poetry, grounded in personal interpretation and artistic co-creation.
